Material and method: Sheep’s wool – warps and weft. Plain weft facing weave with some brocading in the ivory wool bands.
 
Dimensions: 140 x 72 cm
 
Age: Mid-19th century
 
Condition: As shown in the images; the colours are still vibrant and fresh.

Comments: A kilim full of beautiful colours. Striped kilims have been described as minimalist. However, if you see colour as the subject of this kilim, then it is not minimalist but maximalist!
