Kurdish carpet with large botehs


Artist: Unknown woman. Probably made in a workshop.


Origin: North west Iran (Persia).


Materials and method: Hand spun and hand woven sheep’s wool, dyed with colours from natural dye sources. Cotton warps. Good quality glossy wool and good colour saturation.


Dimensions: 151 x 109 cm.


Date of creation: Probably beginning of the 20th century.


Condition: In good useable condition with good pile. No apparent repairs.
