Modern COPY of an ancient Greek coin (tridrachm) from Delphi as follows:
Obverse: Two rhyta (drinking vessels) in the form of rams’ heads; above, two dolphins confronted, Delphi written in Greek
Reverse: Quadripartite incuse square in the form of a coffered ceiling, each coffer decorated with a dolphin and laurel leaves
26mm diameter, appears to be made from good quality silver, 14.77gm.
Purchased in Athens more than 20 years ago.
