Obverse: Laureate and draped bust of Trajan looking right with legend around: IMP CAES NER TRAIANO OPTIMO AVG GER DAC P M TR P COS VI P P.
Reverse: A tall and elegant Felicitas standing draped, head left, holding caduceus and cornucopiae, SC across, SENATVS POPVLVSQVE ROMANVS around.
Origin: Mint of Rome. No mint mark.
Date of minting: Attributed to the years 114 - 117 AD.
Die engraver: Unknown die engraver at the mint of Rome.
Materials and method: Struck in bronze (orichalcum) from engraved dies.
Dimensions: 32 mm diameter.
Weight: 23.7 grams.
Condition: good Fine; sharply struck on a wide flan; beautiful jade green patina; gash on obverse behind Trajan’s bust which does not affect the excellent portrait.
