Origin: Japan

 

Materials and method: Porcelain, hand painted

 

Date of creation: Probably third quarter of the 20th century

 

Dimensions: each approx. 14 x 6 cm

 

Maker: The base is marked with four characters reading: “Kutani Syouzou”. Syouzou is the name of one of the master makers of Kutani ware.

Comments: Each of the bottles is decorated with two scenes: a ho ho bird (Japanese phoenix) and seven sages under a pine tree
